Long time Fort Worth Police supporter, Citizen’s On Patrol Captain, and Crime Control District Board member Evelyn M. “Lynn” Stearman passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 after battling cancer.  She faithfully served as a COPs Captain for over twelve (12) years for the Chapel Creek neighborhood.  She served as a Crime Commission board member since 2000 and fought hard to provide the police department necessary equipment and funding to attack crime.  She will be greatly missed.
