WESTPOINT CHAPEL CREEK NEWS

The Westpoint Chapel Creek Citizens on Patrol started in October of 1991.  Our boundaries are from Camp Bowie

to North of White Settlement Road and From 820 to Zuni Trail. Some of the neighborhoods we encompass are Westpoint, Little Chapel Creek, and Vista West.

We have 32 members with half of those remaining active in many ways with the group.  We participate each year in the Cowtown Clean-up and numerous safety fairs and Kid's ID events.  We partner with two great NPO's Officer Jacobs and Officer Kiser to help reduce crime in our neighborhoods.

We are a growing area with both residential and commercial construction that criminals seem to like to take advantage of and we are always looking for new members!  We recently trained two new members who will be on the streets patrolling our neighborhoods helping to keep them safe. Our current officers for 2008 are Mary Ledbetter-Captain, Evelyn Stearman-Co-Captain, Tina Triplett-Scheduler/Equipment Manager, Kathy Metz-Treasurer and Mary Whitt-Secretary.

We meet every third Tuesday of the month, so if you are interested in joining our family of COP's to help keep your neighborhood safe you can contact Officer Ken Jacobs at 817.988.1035 or Officer Rex Kiser at 817.991.9756 with the Fort Worth PD for more details.
